MaxWT Hook Load Transducer

The MaxWT Hook Load Transducer is produced by Advanced Sensor Design (ASD) of Houston, Texas. ASD has developed sophisticated and patented technology. The MaxWT Hook Load Transducer has the World’s first electronic replacement kit which makes it Field Replaceable. The Field Replaceable feature alone saves time, saves money, and saves down time! No one else in the Hook Load Transducer (HLT) Industry can offer you Field Replaceable technology. Most other Hook Load Transducers currently on the market require that their damaged HLTs be shipped back to the factory for repair. With ASD the HLT can be repaired in the field in a matter of minutes. The competition can take up to six (6) weeks for completion of their Hook Load Transducer repair process.

 

Aluminum and Stainless Steel are the materials used in the MaxWT Hook Load Transducer. It weighs only fifteen (15) pounds. The wire rope range is 7/8 to 2 1/8 inches. The weight range is 100,000 pounds typical, and can be specified by customer. The MaxWT is Intrinsically Safe (4-20 mA standard output transducer). ASD uses Stainless Steel contact points. The connectors used are all Customer Specified. IS certification to ATEX in place, IECEx, Canadian an Ex (US) Certs are planned.

The handle on the MaxWT Hook Load Transducer has been repositioned to allow the installer to crimp the drilling line with less effort than conventionally placed handles that are positioned on top of the cable. Once cable is crimped and locked in the unit it is ready to be calibrated and used.

 

Advanced Sensor Design offers with the MaxWT Hook Load Transducer a “True Plug and Play System“. The customer has connector specified capability. No need to build crossovers or ship mating connectors. ASD will install a male connector on the HLT that matches the users existing cabling system. For example, if a user has a Turck cabling and junction box system ASD will install the equivalent male connector, with exact pin configuration of Power and Signal to match user’s system. All that is needed is the model number of users connector and pin out. We will do the rest and provide the correct male connector. ASD can also provide the system with cable gland and pigtails if desired.
